Velcro rollers are a great styling tool for boosting volume and setting loose curls while keeping frizz to a minimum. Velcro rollers vary in size, stick to the hair without pins and are fairly gentle to hair if used correctly.

Velcro rollers are a type of hair roller meant to produce large, loose curls without the use of heat. Velcro rollers differ from other types of hair rollers in that they're made of the teeth side of Velcro. When hair is rolled up in these rollers, the Velcro teeth grab onto the hair strands and don't require any pins or clamps to stay in place. This minimizes the damage to the hair while curling the strands.

To use velcro rollers for maximum volume, divide your hair into several three-inch wide sections and wrap them up in medium rollers. To get smooth, straight hair, use extra-large velcro rollers and leave them in for 20 minutes.

A word to the wise: Take care not to rip or tug the velcro rollers (or the neccessary bobby pins) out of your hair or you risk causing damage. The tiny bristles on velcro rollers can make the hair break, leading to a frizzy look. If you aren't careful, you can wind up in tangles
