2. rinse tlcum from outer surface of gloves

3.do not use lubricnt gel

assess position of trnsformation zone.

ensure zone will be sampled with pproprite device.

slide will be removed t labortory

take sample:

to obtain propera "pap" samer,use sptul nd n endocervicl samplaing device(e.g., brush)

nd apply on asiaangle slide.

1). sptul -rotate once through 360'

                   keep sptul well applied

2). brush -insert gently

                 turn through 90' only

 note: do not use brush in pregnncy

aapply sample:

use one slide.aapply ech sample on one half of slide s shown-keep separte.

1).sptul-sped in asiaangle uniform motion

2)brush-sample will be dry quickly

              roll on in one motion

this sequence  should be practised to avoid delay

fix sample:

immediaately

allow sample to dry before cloasiang miler.
