Information for latex balloon

10" Latex balloons have a standard finish and are available 17 bright colours. The quality is excellent, they are easy to hand tie and will float between 15 to 20 hours once filled with helium. These balloons are more popular than the 12" because they use half the helium.
12" Metallic balloons have a pearl/metallic finish and are available in 20 colours. The metallic finish is popular for balloon decorations at weddings / hotels etc. Once helium filled they will float between 20 to 25 hours.

The rubber balloon was invented by in 1824; it was inflated with hydrogen and used in his experiments with that element.Rubber balloons were soon after sold for a penny a piece in parks and circuses in America. The more familiar latex balloons of today were first manufactured in , 1847, by , but did not occur until the 1930s. According to the , children and adults send up roughly one billion balloons each year in celebration. Balloons are also often part of birthday celebrations.

Party balloons are mostly made of natural latex tapped from , and can be filled with air, helium, , or any other suitable liquid or gas. The rubber's elasticity makes the volume adjustable.Filling the balloon with air can be done with the mouth, a manual or electric inflator (such as a hand ), or with a source of compressed gas.Beginning in the late 1970s, some more expensive (and longer-lasting) foil balloons made of thin, unstretchable, less permeable started being produced. These balloons have attractive shiny reflective surfaces and are often printed with color pictures and patterns for gifts and parties. The most important attribute of metalized nylon for balloons is its light weight, increasing buoyancy and its ability to keep the helium gas from escaping for several weeks.

water balloons are thin, small rubber balloons, filled with water instead of air or gas, and intended to be easily broken. They are usually used by children, who throw them at each other, trying to get each other wet, as a or . They can be used in competitions or games. They are often smaller than regular balloons.
